Gabrielle Boyd, O.D.

Dr. Gabrielle Boyd is a native of rural North Louisiana where she grew up emerged in the practice medical eye care.  As a second generation Optometrist, she is passionate about eye health and vision. Whether it be obtaining the perfect contact lens or glasses fit, or treating advanced disease, Dr. Boyd understands that the eyes are our windows to the world. Giving her patients their best vision is what drives her.

Dr. Boyd attended Louisiana Tech University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her undergraduate studies, she enjoyed playing intramural sports, cheering on the Bulldogs, and volunteering with her Kappa Delta sisters.

Upon graduation, Dr. Boyd continued her education at the University Of Houston College Of Optometry where she completed specialty rotations in post-operative care and retinal disease. She was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, an international optometric honor society, and SVOSH (Student International Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity). She completed externship rotations at private practices in both West Monroe and Ruston where she became proficient in multiple laser procedures (SLT, Yag capsulotomy, LPI), specialty contact lens fits, and multifactorial disease management.

Since Optometry school, Dr. Boyd has practiced in both rural and urban settings all across the state of Louisiana, and prides herself in being relatable, easy to talk to, and progressive. She, along with Highland Eye Clinic, utilize the industry’s top technology in diagnosing and following each patient and their individual needs.

Although Dr. Boyd enjoys practicing Optometry, she most enjoys being wife to her husband, Cody, a local Shreveport/Bossier Corporate Defense Attorney, and Mama to her three children. She and her family enjoy snow skiing, riding Sea-Doos, snorkeling, cycling, family vacations, and enjoying the unmatchable culture of our home state, Louisiana.
