Holly Guy, M.D.

Dr. Holly Guy is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist who joined Highland Eye Clinic in 2015.  She is a native of Shreveport and graduated from C.E. Byrd High School.  She attended Texas A&M University and returned to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport for medical school and residency.  She decided to follow in her father’s footsteps by specializing in glaucoma, so she continued her training at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston.  During her glaucoma fellowship, she gained experience with minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries which give patients with glaucoma more options to lower their eye pressures without the side effect profile of the traditional glaucoma surgeries.

Dr. Holly Guy returned to her hometown to provide quality comprehensive eye care for patients in North Louisiana.  She sees patients in Shreveport and Monroe, where she trains ophthalmology residents in cataract and glaucoma surgery at Ochsner LSU Health (formerly E.A. Conway).  Dr. Guy feels strongly about utilizing the newest technology available for both diagnosis and management of cataracts and glaucoma in order to individualize and optimize patient outcomes, and she enjoys teaching new techniques to future ophthalmologists.

In her limited free time, Dr. Guy volunteers with the youth group at her church and spends time with her husband, Sammy, and their two children.  They enjoy playing soccer, traveling, and visiting art and science museums.
